The photography of this video by Shashidhar Goud is astounding. But the editing tells the story and moves the heart.
It leaves me feeling empty and worthless.
What have I contributed?
What have you contributed?
What could we contribute?
What should we contribute?
What must we contribute?
It worries, frightens and saddens me to see how global warming advocates seem to have lost the fight before it even started. People who don’t believe in global warming are selfishly unable to compromise or sacrifice some conveniences – at all our expense. It will be difficult, but scientists have to learn to speak in clear, personal terms about how global warming is a dangerous problem if they want to see action.

Sadly, even if scientists manage to personalize their message, I know there is a too-large segment of the population out there that simply cannot trust anything science has to offer. There are still people who believe the Grand Canyon is what…4 million years old? People who do not understand geologic time are ill equipped to understand weather and atomosphere.
I also get depressed thinking that the climate shift has already tipped the balance to the point that its too late for minor changes. We need major changes now, in order to right the wrongs that have piled up. And here we are, in (declining) 1st world comfort while the 3rd world is jumping gleefully into the corporate world of implied comfort. They want what we’ve taken for granted for 100 years. How can we deny them their quest?

Thank you for stopping by. I went to intothebardo to find your name. I’m still not sure if I’m addressing Rob, Jamie, or Ann.
I know nothing about Buddhism and next to nothing about the soul. Your blog is a wealth of information and ideas from which I can learn and grow.
