I am blessed by far more than I can account for. Tops on my list would be:
- my continued good health
- my friends and family
- my virtual friends and blogging community who so patiently read and comment on my drivel
- the food and comfort that is so abundantly available to me
- And the day is not complete without contemplating those who are no longer here to share my blessings,
- as well as those whose blessing have been stolen, interrupted, or blown up. May serenity return to them.
Life is good and I am grateful.
I am sorry I haven’t been very active lately on your blog, but it is nice tosee that you are doing well over there =)

Thank you Maria. It’s nice to hear from you. I’ve been just as negligent. It is very hard to keep up with the reading list. Hope you’re well and happily busy.

Yeah, sorry for the overload. It’s a bit like a turkey dinner, after a while it all tastes the same! Thanks for dropping by.

Great post, Linda. Many blessings on your thankful heart. Wow – you are really making use of that wee camera. I like seeing the photos you chose for each concept. The last one is a beauty!! (Plus I wonder what part of your life you shared with Erich.)

Thanks, Amy. Actually, the photos in this post spanned the year and came from several sources, Nikon, Canon, and iPhone. I’m glad you enjoyed them. I was married to Erich for 16 years. He died very unexpectedly four years after we amicably parted company. I still counted him as one of my best and dearest friends. His loss rocked a lot of hearts.

Thank you for reminding this German gal (as you know, we don’t celebrate Thanksgiving) how important it is to take a step back once in a while and appreciate all the good things in one’s life. Like two adorable, healthy sons and a loving and supportive (not to mention cute) husband. Lots of great family and friends. Dreams – and the means to make some of them come true. And strength to deal with the unpleasant aspects of life.
I truly am blessed.

Yes, blessings transcend nationality. (I know one German gal that does a
complete American turkey fest each year…she’s married to an American and
has embraced that one aspect of the USA without qualms.) Glad life is well
for you. I’m sure it’s been a tumultuous year.

Yes the same line I told my friends yesterday, when we were discussing about my new book. They were asking me why I chose the content of my first book as the problems our countrymen face everyday, in the name of religion, culture, education, tradition etc. And I told them, there is a large area and people living there are not aware of the world we all live in.
